Dear Parent/Guardians and Year 11 Students,
As Year 11 students enter the final stages of preparation for their GCSE and BTEC examinations, it is also time to start considering the next step in the academic/career pathway.
At St Joseph’s, we believe we offer a broad and balanced curriculum which caters to the needs of all our students, grounded in the Catholic ethos and nature of the school; and we would therefore like to invite you to attend our Sixth Form Open Evening where we will outline all that we can offer as a Sixth Form. During this evening, you will have the opportunity as parents and students to speak to senior members of staff, the Sixth Form Management Team and hear from subject leaders and teachers regarding the specific subjects and options available at Advanced Level.
We would encourage anybody who is interested in Post-16 education at St Joseph’s to attend this evening and we extend this invite not only to our own Year 11 students but those from schools across the area who may be thinking about St Joseph’s as an option for next year.
The evening will take place on Thursday 23rd November 2017 at 6pm until 8pm. It will start with brief presentations in the New Hall followed by a chance to look around the school and talk to subject teachers. If you are not sure where to go then come to reception and you will be shown to the hall.
During the evening, we will be pleased to answer any questions that you may have about the Sixth Form and the provision available and offer suggestions regarding the most appropriate pathway.
We hope you will be able to attend the evening at St Joseph’s and look forward to seeing you.
