“Bursting at the seams!” is one way to describe the Sixth Form Information Evening held this afternoon at St. Joseph’s. These sessions were arranged following additional demand for Sixth Form places for September 2018 entry. The sessions involved a particular focus on the different pathways available both Post 16 (in the Sixth Form) and Post 18 (once they leave Year 13).
There were a number of presentations from the Sixth Form Management Team with Mr Prosser, Ms Brown and Mr Torrance delivering information on a range of different options. Mr Scourfield also spoke about the challenging nature of A-Levels and the need for all students to understand the jump from GCSE to Level 3.
This additional session forms a part of the final preparations for Sixth Form entry for Year 11 students. The next session will involve Academic Taster Mornings which will take place after the GCSE examinations.
