Moving from primary to secondary school is such an important milestone in the lives of children and their families. At St. Joseph’s we pride ourselves on our smooth and extensive transition programme that helps our pupils to arrive in September, excited about the next chapter in their education.
We aim to enrich our young people’s learning, providing them with opportunities and challenges that help them to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to become ethical and well qualified individuals, ready to take an active place in society.
The start of this journey begins next month with our Year 5 & 6 Open Evening. This event will take place at 6pm on Wednesday, 10th October. It will be a great opportunity for pupils and parents from Year 5 & 6 to visit the school, hear from key staff, explore subject areas and have discussions with teachers. Most important of all, it will be a wonderful chance for younger pupils to speak to our current Year 7 pupils – pupils who were in the same position as themselves this time last year.
St. Joseph’s is a wholly inclusive school and we welcome applications from pupils from all faiths, cultures, backgrounds and abilities. We look forward to welcoming you to our Open Evening and to getting to know you well in the near future.
