Calling Year 11, 12 and 13 students, parents and guardians…
In order to support our students in their ongoing exam preparation, we are holding an important event on the evening of Tuesday 9th April, from 5pm-6.15pm.
We have worked hard with our pupils this year to give them the skills they need to revise, but it remains an area that many pupils find challenging. We know that it can also be a difficult issue to handle at home, as you seek to give your child the support and guidance they need to prepare for the exams.
The ‘Revision Matters’ event is designed to give you and your child some very practical strategies to make revision more effective. The event will last for one hour, and will be based around five 10 minute interactive workshops. Our hope is that you and your child will leave with realistic expectations for a programme of revision, together with a range of practical strategies to help.
We hope that the timing of the Revision Matters event will enable as many parents/guardians as possible to accompany their child. It is an evening aimed specifically at both pupils and parents/guardians. If you are able to confirm your attendance in advance by clicking the following link, it will help us to make sure that we have enough resources and refreshments available (https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx…).
Research shows that pupils do best when the school, parents and children work together in partnership. We hope you will be able to join us on the 9th as we work together for the success of our young people.
