Sad news

Dear Pupils and Parents,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden and untimely passing away of Suzanne Curtis, our Health & Wellbeing Coordinator.  We believe Suzanne suffered a tragic accident at her home on Friday evening.

Suzanne will be greatly missed by her family and friends and by all of our school community.  Her colleagues will miss her and our pupils will miss her too, especially those with whom she had regular and direct contact.

We have Suzanne and her family in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.  At 10:30 am on Friday, 26th July, we will hold a prayer service at the school. This will take place in the New Hall and we extend an invitation to any pupils, parents or friends of the school who would wish to join us.

We are aware that some pupils may be particularly upset at this news.  In view of this, we have arranged for school counsellors to be on site for pupils to speak with.  Several members of staff will also be on hand to offer pupils some comfort and consolation.

Yours faithfully,

Eugene Scourfield

Special thanks to Canon Paul Watson (Parish Priest of Our Lady of Margam and School Governor) for leading our Prayer Service this morning for our friend and colleague Suzie. It was a poignant and special occasion for so many of our school community (pupils, parents, teachers, support staff, governors and friends) to come together. Thanks to Neath Port Talbot Council counsellors and well-being team who were on hand to support us too.
