Dear Parents and Carers,
Ongoing provision in schools
We have received new guidance from the local authority in relation to school provision. The following plans are now being put into place:
From today (20thMarch) all schools will close to their pupils. On Monday, our school will open to provide care / recreation / learning for children of essential workers whilst they are in work. Please see the statement on our website from Director of Education, Aled Evans, for further information in respect of this. If you have not already informed us, please contact us at the school if you are a worker within an essential service.
Pupils entitled to free school meals
On weekdays, food will be provided for all pupils entitled to free school meals. A packed lunch will be ready for collection from the school canteen area, between 12 noon and 1 pm each day.
Work for Pupils
We are in the process of uploading work to the school’s website for pupils in all year groups.
Please note:the most recent scientific advice on how to further limit the spread of COVID-19 is clear. If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.
It is important to underline that schools, colleges and other educational establishments remain safe places for children. But the fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.
If you have any queries, please let us know and we will try to help as much as we can.
Many thanks to all in our community for their continued patience and support during these unprecedented times.
Mr. Eugene Scourfield
