UPDATED – Sixth Form: Self Isolation

Dear Parents and Students,

Following my notice yesterday I have liaised today with NHS Test, Trace and Protect and the Local Authority as part of the contact tracing process and we received a final response from Public Health Wales early this evening.

Due to one of our Year 13 students receiving a positive test-result for coronavirus we have taken the decision to ask all Year 13 students to self-isolate until Monday 19th October.

I know that this will be very disappointing for our Year 13 learners who have made such a great start to the new school year.  I know that it will be disappointing for their families too.  However, the most important thing is to follow the guidance for keeping everyone as safe as possible.

Distance Learning for Year 13 students will be in place as per their individual timetables. The platform for this will be HwB and Microsoft Teams and students will be expected to ‘attend’ their lessons at the timetabled time virtually.

All other year groups can attend school as normal.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Best wishes,

Eugene Scourfield
