On Thursday 27th June, the St. Joseph’s Crucial Crew delivered their peer-education project to Year 6 pupils from the local area. The topic for this year’s presentation was road safety and the team worked very hard in the preceding weeks to develop an interactive presentation that would encourage younger pupils to be more safety conscious when walking to and from school.
Their hard work paid off and their project was deemed a huge success with one local youngster remarking ‘The Crucial Crew were excellent and their presentation was a lot of fun. They really reminded us how important it is to be aware of traffic and other pedestrians when we are out on our own or with friends.
The team are now looking forward to working with the Year 6 pupils visiting St. Joseph’s on our next transition day in July.
